The 60% shield from transformation (and the 50% shield from fiery escape) is VERY nice everywhere there is chip damage or dots. An important thing to remember is that gunlancer scales extremely well with engravings, especially blue lancer - since your shield is basically always up (if you have specialization & time your shout right) a lot of the negatives to engravings are basically negligible. But striker needs some several things like runes, speicality, etc. Btw i think if you feel good at striker, it is good for you to pick striker. Striker have only 2 high damage jewels so you feel good and save your money. He will strong after relic tier and 33333. Too Popular for parties : Lancer, Gun Lancer, Gunslinger, Scouter. Not hugely popular for parties but popular among players : Arcana, Soul Fist, Striker. Soulfist is a pretty challenging class to play optimally and the two builds require different skillsets to pilot so when I have the resources I'll definitely set-up a robust spirit gearset for fun. Class is fun and hits really hard but a little too braindead so it's getting old for me lol. Playing with a deadeye right now and it's super fun and satisfying to play, but it requires 4 times the effort over zerker for slightly similar results.
