People thinking they require multi gigabit for a home setup is just marketing at work. A 4k stream is about 25 Mbps. A video conference is 10 at most. Figure about 50 Mbps per simultaneous device as an extremely generous estimate, where 4k will load quickly and nothing will feel slow at all. Unless you download a ton, you won't notice any difference. dwayitiz • 2 yr. ago. My fiber at a 2nd home 100/100 is enough.So would 300 be good enough, or would 1000 be needed. I know the 1000 is the best option, but I don't want to over think that the 300 wouldn't not be sufficient. We would usually only have 1 maybe 2 T.V.'s on at at time, but we both work full time so the only time we watch T.V. is at night and on the weekends. .
